FAQs

Welcome to our FAQs page.  We've tried to answer as many questions relating to our products as possible here, but if you can't find the answer to your question here, drop us an email and we'd be more than happy to help.

What does organic mean?

Our turmeric is organic, which means it has been grown by using a farming system which avoids the use of man-made fertilisers, pesticides, growth regulators and livestock feed additives. Irradiation and the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or products produced from or by GMOs are also not used

Where does your turmeric come from?

Our turmeric comes from sustainable, organic farms in India which are owned and operated by small independent owners.

How is your turmeric sustainable?

Our turmeric is farmed on small holdings using methods that do not cause pollution, over farm the land and does not destroy neighbouring habitats. No fertilisers or pesticides are used and soil fertility is maintained by recycling nutrients on the farms

What is BioPerine®?

BioPerine® is registered trademark for black pepper piperine extract. Piperine, in this case BioPerine®, helps increase the absorption of our turmeric by up to 2000 times. Without heat or fat, such as when cooking, turmeric is actually poorly absorbed by the body. This is why we've added a small amount, but enough, of BioPerine® to ensure you get great benefits of turmeric. You can find out more about BioPerine® here.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes. You can recycle both the bottle and the lid. Ideally we wouldn't want to use plastics at all and we're working on finding sustainable and affordable alternatives.

Where are your capsules manufactured?

Our turmeric capsules are produced in the UK, using what is called GMP, or Good Manufacturing Practice. You can read more about GMP here

Is your turmeric produced using the root?

Yes. Our turmeric is produced using the whole root. The roots are harvested, sun-dried and then ground. That's it!
